Off your team’s desk
Hook handles the reporting, writing, design and video, and your team reviews and approves. Annual reports start at $15,000 and include print, digital and video.

What do you need to get started?
Begin with what you have: financials, program results, previous reports, existing content and the names of people who know the work firsthand.
The materials don’t need to be polished or organized. Your team provides context, reviews the work and approves the final report.
What does Hook handle?
The process is rooted in journalism. Interviews with staff, board members, grantees and program participants help identify what changed during the year and why. Before sharing a personal experience, each person is told how their words and images may be used and chooses what they’re comfortable sharing.

The report also lives on a single web page, which makes it easy to share a particular program, result or story without asking readers to download the full publication.
Three short interviews filmed during the reporting process let people describe their experiences in their own words. The videos appear in the digital report and can be shared on their own.
One production schedule covers interviews, filming, drafts, reviews, design and final files. Deadlines and sign-offs are set at kickoff.

How long does it take?
Most annual reports take eight to 12 weeks from kickoff to final files, including scheduled time for review. Share your publication date early. If the timeline isn’t workable, you’ll know before signing anything.

What does it cost?
Annual reports start at $15,000. That includes the print and PDF report, a digital version on a single web page and three short videos. The final price depends on the amount of source material, the number of interviews and the length of the report. Stories and results from the report can also be adapted for an annual appeal, donor emails or website content.
