Challenge: The Delaware Alliance of Latino Entrepreneurs, ¡DALE!, was planning the Latino Business & Community Expo, bringing together local entrepreneurs and residents. It needed to draw Latino-owned businesses and Delaware residents to its inaugural event.

Solution: Hook used a two-pronged approach of social media advertising and local media coverage. Our social media team ran a series of English and Spanish advertisements targeted at local audiences. Our content team developed a news release for regional media to spread the word further.

Results:

  • The first expo was a resounding success! More than 120 local businesses participated, showcasing their services and products to about 1,000 people at the one-day event.
  • ¡DALE!’s social media ads reached 79,000 people for an investment of less than $865.
  • More than eight articles and news items were published or broadcast about the event in six media outlets covering the region, from Salisbury to Wilmington.
